dear lovely mamas, we desperately need help. We have a beautiful 9 - TopicsExpress

dear lovely mamas, we desperately need help. We have a beautiful 9 month boy and are struggling with sleep issues. He was a champion sleeper up until 5.5 months. Since then he refuses his cot and does not like to sleep alone. We immediately started co sleeping to respond to his night time needs which we both loved and we put the mattress on the floor. However, we have now had to stop using the mattress on the floor due to having nowhere to store the base and the house is on the market. This means during the day, I have never had a moment to myself as I always nap with him. In the evenings, I go to bed with him because otherwise he would fall out of the bed. I breastfeed to sleep and we will never CIO. I guess the ideal solution would be for him to nap in his cot for several hours to give me a couple of hours and then come into our bed. He wakes up several times in the night to nurse which is totally normal and Im obviously not trying to stop this while he still needs it. Any tips or thoughts would be appreciated. How do other co sleepers cope with the safety issue with a raised bed? Any tips on how I can transition him from taking his naps on me or beside me to on his own? Whilst I absolutely love our naps together and am not looking at stopping these altogether, occasionally or just now I need a little break as Im feeling run down and sleep deprived. Any tips for relaxing also appreciated. Apologies for the rambling message. xx
