dont get the cart before the horse..Election is not salvation, but is *unto salvation*...(Dr. C D Cole). The Bible speaks about the conversion of lost sinners. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth...Romans 1:16-17... It is a turning from darkness to His marvelous light...Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me...For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ... 2 Corinthians 4:6...Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:...Zechariah 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? All of Gods elect were chosen in Christ from before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4), but they are called by the gospel, convicted of sin and converted by the Spirit, eternally saved and justified *in time* when they (by faith alone) receive the Lord Jesus Christ and trust completely in His imputed Righteousness for their justification in the sight of God... Righteousness was not only imputed to Abraham by faith, But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, IF WE BELIEVE on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead...Romans 4:24. (We can only know about our election in Christ after we have been *born of God* (John 1;13) and have received the imputed Righteousness of Christ by faith alone, without works)...!
