dont know if anybody can help but my daughters had bad experience in hardware shop in wickford called Samuels today, daughter 1 bought two glass candles for twelve pounds and the lady wrapped them in just a plastic bag. when she got home one was broken so took it back - the fiasco that followed was a joke. The lady in the shop laughed at her and said it was her own fault, walked away from her while she was still speaking. My daughter came out of shop and bumped into me and young daughter no 2, who said she would take it back in which she did. The boy in there was incredibly rude, told her to go and smash it on the pavement and then called out happy Christmas while they all laughed then the police arrived. By this point both the girls were upset and the pcos talked to us about it. Now I think the shop had a duty of care to make sure said object was properly wrapped and in any case even if they wouldnt change it could have been more respectful to their customers. Both my girls are quiet and inoffensive, I wonder how this shop would have reacted to some gobby little person I bet they would have changed it. Im so disgusted will never go in there again, anybody else had poor experience ?
