duhkhesu anudvigna-manah sukhesu bigata-spriha bita-raga-bhaya-krodhah sthita-dhih munir-uchayate duhkhesu – in the midst of misery; anudvigna-manah – without being agitated in mind; sukhesu – in happiness; bigata-spriha – without being interested; bita – free from; raga – attachment; bhaya – fear; krodhah – and anger; sthita-dhih – whose mind is steady; munih – a sage; uchayate – is called. One who is not disturbed in mind even amidst misery or elated when there is happiness and who is free from attachment, fear and anger is called a “Muni” (Sage) of steady mind Note : A “Muni” means one who can agitate his mind in various ways for creative mental speculation before coming to a factual conclusion - Srimad Bhagavad Gita Ch 2,Verse 56
