e-CAB meets with Public Interest Registry CEO Brian Cute On October 29, 2014 (Wednesday) Executive members of e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) met with Public Interest Registry (PIR) CEO Brian Cute. Razib Ahmed, and Md. Abdul Wahed Tomal, the President and the General Secretary of e-CAB, informed Mr. Brian Cute about the goals, objectives and activities of e-CAB. They expressed their interest to work with Public Interest Registry (pir.org) to spread e-Commerce all over the country. Mr. Cute highly appreciated e-CAB members for their initiatives. He said that PIR is dedicated to spread the blessing of Internet. PIR works with government and private organizations around the world to keep Internet an open platform. He is promoting the .ngo domain in Bangladesh and looking forward to work with NGOs that are using Internet to serve different communities across the country. e-CAB members said that one of the main objectives of e-CAB is to spread e-Commerce in rural areas and empower rural people. Through e-Commerce rural people will be able to sell their products all over the country. Brian Cute joined as CEO of Public Interest Registry in 2011. He has more than 13 years of experience in the Internet and communications industry. Among others Mir Sahed Ali, e-CAB Joint Secretary, Mohammad Abdul Haque, e-CAB Finance Secretary, Shezan Shams, e-CAB Director (Corporate Affairs), Sumon Howlader e-CAB Director (International Affairs); Sufi Faruq Ibne Abubakar, e-CAB Chairman (Standing Committee on e-Commerce Policy & Guideline), Abu Sufian Nilove, e-CAB Chairman (Standing Committee of Quality improvement) and AHM Bazlur Rahman, S21BR CEO Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) were present at the meeting.
