e project, called Porter Street Station, was recommended by the Plan Commission for preliminary approval of a zoning change to planned unit development from residential. The recommendation goes to the City Council. The 28 townhomes would replace 18 existing rental units on nine lots. Townhome units would be grouped in buildings of four different designs, all reminiscent of the architecture in Chicagos Wrigleyville neighborhood. Buildings housing two-story townhomes would face Indiana Avenue, and those housing three-story townhomes would face North Street, in a rendering submitted to the city. Units would range in size from 1,300 to 1,600 square feet and in price from $185,000 to $225,000, developers of the project said.
