editor@jhnewsandguide Dear Editor, While reading on the Wyoming Legislature website, I came across this little tidbit of proposed legislation, sponsored by Wyoming Senator Eli Bebout - Wyoming Right to Farm and Ranch Act - 2015 with an intent To protect agriculture as a vital part of the economy of Wyoming, the rights of farmers and ranchers to engage in farm or ranch operations shall be **forever** guaranteed in this state. (Emphasis mine) Forever. A long time. Forever - a concept we cant even fathom but heres what this Bill is intended to do: this is ALL over Game and Fish wanting to protect the Sage Grouse habitat and kick both the cattlemen and the drillers off that range. Theyre seeking now to put them on the endangered species list and these ranchers are trying this way to stop them. Its also a go around the Wolf Policy ploy. This Bill seeks to insure another fruitless Bundy-style fight against the Feds - that again. Now, what it really does is lock out development, curtail investment in Wyoming industry and keep people from moving and buying land here, so on a larger scale, this is meant to keep Wyoming, Wyoming *forever*. See what that does to future generations in locking them into this mindset? Now, I know Im going to offend a lot of people with this but Im going to enlighten many others. The impetus behind this Bill is a religious one that should not be allowed in Wyoming or anywhere to influence our lawmaking. The people who are behind Bebout and his Bill are fighting to preserve their way of life which includes incest, polygamy, insider trading and rigged politics in an atmosphere of lets see what we can get away with by folks who are so egocentric as to use their white privilege as a hammer - they expect to be deferred to because they got here first. These motives dont stand up under scrutiny. This is an insular cult mentality and it has been the developmental paradigm of Wyoming - come here where we have no laws to keep you safe from your fellow predators and see if you can tough it out - and get by with what you can while we look the other way - thats our Wyoming. Ask a Detroit auto worker about changing his way of life. Nothing in our Constitution guarantees a way of life. It merely says life and its certainly not generational. There are no guarantees in life except short-term, highly costly ones. Theyll probably pass this - and then what? If you arent a cult member, leave? They sure dont mind saying that to the people here. We care more about cows here than the people, or the wildlife, or the ecology, OR the economy. Pollution from cattle is the single most devastating poison on the planet but we ignore that here as we do so many things of science and go right on as if were not part of anything or anywhere else - because of this separatist mindset fostered by people with things to hide. Ive been here most of my life and its not hidden from those of us who have lived alongside this thinking until we see that its crippled us and will cripple our children, if we allow it to continue. I urge each one of you to consider the word forever and call your Senators today and have them KILL this Bill before it ever hits the Floor or the Challenge of the Supreme Court that will certainly overturn a special interest group in the State of Wyoming trying to carve their way of life into our laws forever. Lets stop electing them to represent us. The larger portion of Wyoming that is not wooed by the anticipation of an afterlife with many virgins and your very own planet in promise, wants to keep religion(s) out of our government and preserve the secular way of Wyoming life for the majority of us - forever. Well live and let live here, as long as we arent railroaded into honoring a Bad Law! Christine Chris Christian legisweb.state.wy.us/2015/Introduced/SF0009.pdf
