eliasnardi.it Born in Italy in 1979 pursued classical and jazz double-bass studies. Began the study of the OUD as self-taught, subsequently Elias has deepened his technique and knowledge of Arab muisc theory completing many travels in the Middle-East and recieving lessons from Palestinian oud virtuoso Adel Salameh. In November 2010 Elias published his succesful debut album "Orangetree" featuring Nyckelharpa virtuoso Didier François (3rd place at P.I.M.P.I. 2011, Italian Prize for Popular Independent Music and ranked in the Top 200 albums for World Music Chart of Europe 2011). His second release The Tarot Album has been selected as one of the best albums released in 2012, by famous italian newspaper “il Manifesto/Alias”. With his bands Elias has played, toured, recorded and worked throughout Europe, performing in theaters, festivals and National/International Live Radio shows. He collaborated also with musicians the likes of double bass player Ares Tavolazzi (from 70s prog rockers Area); bandoneon player Daniele di Bonaventura; drummer/percussionist Paolo Vinaccia; melodeon player Riccardo Tesi, recording as a guest on "Madreperla" (2011) and "Cameristico" (2012); pianist Pino Jodice and accordionist Giuliana Soscia; clarinet player Edmondo Romano, recording as a guest on "Sonno Eliso" (2012); Nyckelharpa virtuoso Didier François; Singer/Songwriter Max Manfredi, recording as a guest on "Luna Persa" (2009); harmonica player Max De Aloe.
