ello everyone! I want to start a penpal project with my 2nd years this year. They really enjoyed writing letters to Santa last year, so I thought wed step it up this year and write to actual people. Just wanted to bounce some ideas off of some of you who might have done something similar: 1. The JTE who will be teaching 2nd years this year likes to stick very close to the textbook, so I want to use the Multiplus sections of the (New Horizons) textbook as the basis for their letter writing. (That way, we cover the textbook materials and get to write letters in one go) What kind of topics did your students write about it? 2. Where do you find a class of penpals? Having students around the same age as them would be best, but I also worry about difficult English and slang being used. Would pairing the students with other ESL/EFL students in an English speaking country work better? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
