Issued at: 4:29 PM EDT on June 21, 2013, expires at: 6:00 PM EDT on June 21, 2013 The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued an * Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for minor flooding of poor drainage areas in... northern Clay County in northeast Florida... this includes the city of Orange Park... southern Duval County in northeast Florida... * until 600 PM EDT * at 428 PM EDT Weather Service Doppler radar indicated heavy rain of 2 to 4 inches. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the advisory area. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Excessive runoff from these storms will cause flooding of small creeks and streams...highways...streets and underpasses. Additionally...country roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks and streams and other low lying areas are subject to flooding. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground. Remember...turn around dont drown.
