This is the year Jim and I met at a computer users group meeting in St. Louis - So Jim says, I dont remember. I then started a users group club in Springfield, the night we met was our first date, engaged by the end of the month, May 1983. This show is during 1983, the same year we went to the HUG (Heath Users group) convention in Chicago for our honeymoon. We connected with Public Brand Software, became a dealer of 5 1/4 disks of public domain software, selling it out of our house. Within a year or so we opened our computer store and became factory direct dealer for DFI computers. We saw the birth of the first IBM compatibles, PC to XT to 286 to 386 to 486 to Pentium. For years we had our orginal CP/M computers sitting next to each other, Jims H-8 and my Z-89. It was hard getting rid of them since those 2 computers brought us together. Does anyone remember Electronic Systems on First and Outer Park Drive? We still run into customers saying they miss us. We watch this show every Sunday night - I watch it twice to catch anything I missed the first time.
