The project management team in coordination with the local council educational office dedicated funds for repairing schools in the following areas: In the province of Raqqa, they dedicated an amount of 221.400 U.S. dollars to repair 13 schools that include 252 classrooms and can accommodate 10903 students. In Hama, an amount of 345.943 U.S. dollars was dedicated to repair 25 schools that include 339 classrooms and can accommodate 10439 students. As for Deir Ezzor, an amount of 247.995 was dedicated to repair 17 schools that include 276 classrooms and can accommodate 9267 students. In the city of Aleppo an amount of $168 438 was given to repair 18 schools that include 280 classrooms and can accommodate 14,776 students. The funds were also used provide heating for the classrooms and for granting bonuses to fifty teacher for six months in all the schools. The coordination unit support of the coalition in cooperation with the Qatari government, gave one million U.S. dollars to the Ministry of Education in the temporary Syrian government to print two million textbooks and are now working on their distribution. The new study prepared by the United Nations Childrens Fund “UNICEF , in January showed that one out of every five schools in Syria have been damaged or destroyed.
