evelyn berni..... not a Saturday went by in her life... that she did not say this novena.... her devotion never wavered. st. Anthony her favourite saint.... she could hardly say his name ... in a whisper... almost... you know what I think of St. Anthony.... should would say. mass was something she went in earnest to, most days.. but on a sunday... it was something that extended,... into the day.... the mood of quiet... peace... and serving... devotion to the others... eating or dropping food over... etc., and a visit to the Columbus hospital... once a month... with piles and piles of magazines... to keep the old and infirmed.... occupied.... she delivered them.. and then they were delivered.... pity they didnt let her see who they were benefitting...nowadays they would....
