explaining my childhood hero to someone who doesnt know She-Ra: Me: when i was a child i wanted to become a rebel leader. Mat: why did u want to become a rebel leader? Me: Because She-Ra was one. i didnt know what a rebel leader was but it sounded cool and she was pretty and strong and she could talk to animals and i was a retarded little girl - i also wanted blond hair and blue eyes and a winged unicorn that i wanted to park down by the carpark or with my bike. Mat: OK....so why was she a rebel leader? Me: well, she is actually He-Mans twin sister but she was kidnapped by the Horde and raised on a different planet in a different universe. She grew up to become one of the Horde. Hordac kept her imprisoned - which she didnt know, coz he would never let any harm get to her, he would also not let her out of his sight, so that she could only see what he wanted her to see. Then one day, she ventured out on her own and saw what Hordac and the Horde were actually doing. They would go down to villages and beat those down that tried to defend themselves, they would imprison all the others and brainwash them and then enslave them for their own purposes. She saw that injustice was being done and decided to not stand for it and instead help the people help themselves. She did all of that whilst being pretty. She-Ra had many awesome friends who she had to convince at first but together they fought - and they were all pretty. Mat: *busy playing clash of clans* Me: whoa - i always loved that show but only now that i am saying it out loud - what She-Ra was all about, am i realizing how it was not just a show to keep me entertained...thats a pretty constipated brain fart there....
