Get out there and show the world how special you are. You were a true gift in our lives. ***********REST IN ETERNAL PEACE BROTHER.******* THIS IS THE BRIEF STORY OF THE LATE PERMINUS...Perminus Nyakundi’s story is a sad one. Nyakundi topped in Nyambaria Boys after scoring an A (plain) of 81 points in last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). He had secured admission to join moi university to study Medicine. The bright boy however did not live to pursue his dream career. Nyakundi died mid-September of blood cancer after battling the deadly disease for about two years. The 18-year-old boy was diagnosed with acute leukemia in 2012 and had been on treatment since then. He spent the better part of 2012 and this year at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret undergoing chemotherapy. Doctors at the referral facility later advised for a bone marrow transplant in India which would cost approximately Ksh5million. Nyakundi who was raised by a single parent fortunately managed to raise the money through the assistance of friends and family members. Some of his friends went further and created social media groups to help in raising the huge money. He finally managed to travel to India for treatment. Unfortunately, Nyakundi lost his brave battle against the disease. But before he died, the youngster left a very touching message. In the message, he thanked everybody who assisted him in finances, prayers and encouragement. This is the text Nyakundi left behind; “I am humbled and very grateful for all those who have been there for me in finances, prayer, and encouragement and in any other way. I have no words to explain how grateful I am. God will bless you.” It is very sad to lose such a young soul who had a very bright future and instrumental in building our country. May the almighty God rest your soul in peace!! #RIP_BRUH
