farm story! so if you dont want to hear a farm story skip to the next posting :) So tonight I learned a few things about myself! 1. I am not a man!! 2. I am tough! 3. I am a girl and I like being a girl!!! Tonight, my guys are not home, they have gone off to pick up a piece of farm equipment and so, I am left to do the evening farm chores alone! Now, I got to the goat lot in the front to worm some goats and find my bucks out running free! NOT good! I have young does that do not need to be bred! so on my way to dragging them because they dont want to go back, who wants to leave the ladies, right? I cut my right foot! right where (yes I know, not farming shoes) my flip flop hits the top of my foot!! ugh, ugh, ugh! I dont give up..I just keep going! put the boys up and worm the goats. Moving on, I gathered the eggs, no problem there! moving on again....I go to milk at the barn, ALL my goats are out AGAIN!!! this is starting to get on my nerves! so I mend the fence AGAIN! put all the girls up and milk them, put the milk in the truck (because I cant walk and carry almost 4 gallons of milk!) and move on to milking the cow. she is being a (well you know what) tonight! not wanting to stand still for me! and after I finally get her milked, she steps on my left foot!!! and yes, I still have flip flops on!!! another ugh, ugh, ugh! so I hobble to put her up and put that milk in the truck, start home, driving as slow as I can on the pot hole filled dirt road and yep, you guess it! milk sloshed out in the truck! ugh, ugh, ugh! bring the milk in, put the dog up, strain the milk, put it away and now...I have decided, I am NOT a man! I can do this farming thing alone but I sure do love my guys! AND I am tough and not a quitter but I do like being a girl! I am going to get a shower now and smell pretty before going to bed! Good night! and see you in the morning! to milk all over again! :)
