feeling very frustrated and sad :( a couple weeks back my little Sparks and Brownies had a cookie drive thru where we sold our Yummy Mint cookies. It has been asked on occasion if customers could write a cheque as they just dont have the cash on them...ing from one who NEVER has cash on them I understand this and allow a cheque to be written. So keep in mind that a case of cookies cost $60 and out of that case of cookies $22.75 goes to the unit to run their program. That isnt very much money at all!!! So we have to sell LOTS of cookies!! So this is what happened...A lady came and wanted 4 boxes of cookies was in a hurry and didnt have cash...yes you can write a cheque. A few days later an email came from our national department. This lady was freaking out because she had written us a cheque from the wrong account and wanted to be able to get a hold of us to fix it. The email did find me and I did contact the lady and she made arrangements to come and get the cheque back and pay for these cookies she already had.....That was two weeks ago!!! I dont hear from her and then when I do it is an email full of excuses!!! $20 may not seem like a lot of money to worry about but it is a lot to a unit of 25 girls that are out that money. I use that money to take them on outings, we just went to the corn maze...cost $250 or 12 cases of cookies! We do sleepovers and camps. We use our money to buy the badges and crests for the girls. We just did our enrollment where the refreshments alone cost $100 (or 5 cases of cookies) So $20 means a lot when you dont get money from anywhere else except selling cookies. :( I am sad that I will no longer be able to except cheques! You want cookies it will have to be cash :( I am still waiting on this lady and I really hope she enjoyed those cookies my girls apparently have donated to her. My girls still have 14 cases to sell if anyone wants any :) Cash only though please
