festival report - what a weekend! kingsvilles first festival and it was top notch. and the music coming off stages at different times was like honey. i met so many musicians (something that can be too rare) old friends and new. the volunteers worked super-hard and im sure many made executive decisions to fix a lot of first year bugs so they were invisible. and of course, the moon above the little valley and on the water nearby, the powerful land holding us all. i have eaten enough fruit to sink a ship. and i feel clean and light. the concert tonight was with musicians i met there - adam (violin) and zoe (acoustic bass) from fish and bird; kelly (piano, vocals) and mike (percussion) from the oh-chats; lewis melville (pedal steel); nadine (bassoon) = 6. what a luxury and to feel the lift that comes from a consortium of fine musicians in-tune with the spirit. later i signed cds and gave out super-hero names. so many amazing people that i met there. thank you for the HUGE FEAST created by michelle and john from The Laws who created this high quality first festival to so many peoples delight.
