fifth Dunkin Donuts may be coming to New Milford. A site plan is before the towns Zoning Commission to demolish the present circa 1900 building at the corner of Dodd Road and Danbury Road (Route 7 South) and construct a 1,765-square-foot, fast-food restaurant with drive-through window. The plans are stamped Dunkin Brands and indicate an 18-seat Dunkin Donuts restaurant would be constructed on the site. The restaurant driveway would be from Dodd Road with drive-through window traffic entering and exiting there. There would be 18 parking spaces, including one handicap parking space. The present 3,600-square-foot, red structure now houses three retail businesses. It has been renovated over the years. If approved, this would be the fifth Dunkin Donuts location in the town. There is a restaurant on Park Lane Road (Route 202); a counter in the Citgo station along East Street; a restaurant on Danbury Road near Veterans Memorial Bridge; and another south on Danbury Road near Larson Road. A public hearing before the Zoning Commission on the application is scheduled March 25 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
