finally I get a response from head office from the beauty academy!!!! they will not refund me for there course, even though they know all on our course were treated badly xx Dear Louise Thank you for contacting my office in Cambridge. I am very sorry that you have felt the need to email and telephone to report your dissatisfaction with your Beauty Academy Make-Up course. The comments you make are indeed welcomed here and I thank you for taking so much time and trouble to let us read your thoughts and observations on your Make-Up course. I can absolutely assure you that I will be investigating all your remarks/suggestions to ensure that our standards are maintained. This is important to me because The Beauty Academy has enjoyed an excellent reputation for over 23 years. We have trained in excess of 50,000 students from all over the world and we are one of just a handful of beauty trainers authorised to train job centre funded students from the Dept of Work and Pensions. Also, we are inspected twice a year by both City & Guilds and Vocational Training Charitable Trust; the main accreditor for beauty NVQ courses. They inspect closely our overall course quality and the materials we are using. We now train over 4800 students each year and I can honestly say that the number of complaints I receive has never been more than 10 in any one year! This may be of no consolation to you but I do feel it important to put your complaint into context in case you think it is the sort of thing we receive often. It is true, and so I must hold my hands up, that we have had a bit of a challenge recently at our Manchester centre. We have replaced 2 members of our tutor team for not meeting our exacting standards. I am obligated to offer every student a degree of customer service and a level of care and if we do not deliver then I always offer the chance to re-take the course free of charge. I understand that my office offered you this facility plus a free 3 day upgrade to our Creative Make-Up qualification and you accepted this offer. Now, you want a full refund but that is not possible. Under common law you have to let us put the matter right for you and this is something I am very keen to do for you. Please discuss this with your legal advisor and contact me, direct, with your further advices. Once again, I am truly sorry that you feel we have let you down.
