finishing up my 3 part assignment on gang involvement, and I absolutely love it when I get the opportunity to school scholars on Hispanic gangs beyond those from California... the gang wars in the 90s in Hartford and other parts of CT were rough (some of my FB friends know exactly what Im talking about)... and Im glad I survived it and can now school people who think they know just because they read a scholarly article or watched an episode on Gangland and think that they now know so much on and have a full understanding on what the true culture of Hispanic gangs is really about...
