first things first: im home, and doing okay. im not completely up to speed...but i can walk and talk and do things i need to do. i wont be completely normal for about a month or so, so no triathlons for me anytime soon :-) here are a couple of pictures that sum up the last 5 days...the first is my armband. apparently, if you enter the hospital through the trauma unit (as i did), then you are given a code name. mine was bravo7854. also, please notice that i am 107 years old (i knew i looked bad, but seriously...) the second is the tube that the put into my chest through my side. it was just removed yesterday afternoon, so ive been breathing like a big girl for about 24 hours now. i dont suggest having that procedure done... thanks again to everyone for your kind words and thoughts. it was most appreciated. my sister-in-law will be sending me the info for the food train later today, so if you feel so inclined, ill post it on fb, and you can sign up. it will be so helpful not to have to worry about food for a while :-)
