fithealthymums Snippet from todays session!!! I have been following my own Fit, healthy and strong program this week in the lead up to my wedding and BOY oh BOY it has been a great week of training and nutrition, I am already feeling leaner since my Xmas splurge ;-) Here are some hamstring and booty tips for you all!! :) - First up, when you do hammy curls try and point your toes, this will de-activate your calf muscles and put more focus into your hamstrings. Go light initially as you wont be able to lift as much doing this but TRUST me you will feel it and get a better response from your hamstrings!! Next up is kneeling donkey kicks.. Now you can make this exercise as fancy as you want by adding dumbbells etc but in my opinion if you do it right without weight you actually get better activation in your glutes. When it comes to training your glutes it is NOT about the weight, more so the mind to muscle connection and really understanding how to fire your glutes!! You can make it harder by just adding more reps in! Lastly you cant beat a glute bridge, try doing this with a light weight and dont touch the mat, so make the movement flow and really emphasize the squeeze of your butt at the top!!!
