...five years ago today, I walked into New Beginnings at the corner of Prospect and McClure in Peoria...I was a mess...I finally had decided it was time for a positive change...I walked out an hour later with a 24 hour sobriety coin and a small flicker of hope...most people who knew me had no idea how bad my drinking had become...over these last five years I have gone thru some very difficult times...have been in some very dark desperate situations...but even when I thought I had reached the end, I knew that if I drank it would only make things worse...my friends at AA made that clear to me...so now, after five years of sobriety, I would like to thank God, my family and all my good friends in and out of the program for helping me to better myself and the people around me...so Thank you all and God bless you Sincerely...Pete
