While I am not here to question Scoots choice of moving to DMK nor its long list of savings and benefits, your email does not answer my question. I am prepared to pay more for taxi and longer time to the city from Suvarnabhumi simply because there have fast track immigration clearance for me and I can use the priority lounges there, factors which I took into consideration at the time of my booking. As a long time and frequent flyer of Scoot, all I am requesting is either ; a) Scoot provides me the option to change both my flights to Bangkok to another destination that Scoot flys to and I will gladly top up any fare difference. OR b) Provide me with a cancellation policy as Scoot did not indicate that it would be flying to DMK airport at the time of my booking. While this is clearly not a time to use the tragic case of MH17 as an example but I am very impressed by Malaysian Airlines gesture to provide free refunds and cancellation to its passengers as a gesture of goodwill. Perhaps Scoot can take a page out of this to ensure long term passenger satisfaction and retention. We received your email with regard to the upcoming operating airport transfer of Scoot to Don Mueang (DMK) International Airport. Please be advised that Don Mueang, also known as Bangkok’s “downtown airport”, offers shorter, cheaper and faster access to the city centre – saving you time and money. As the home base of Scoot’s interline partner Nok Air, Don Mueang will provide guests a huge range of connecting options, including to more than 20 Thai cities such as Chiang Rai, Hua Hin, Phuket, Krabi and Surat Thani. For further clarifications, feel free to call the numbers on this link: flyscoot/index.php/en/need-help/talk-to-us.html. Nevertheless, your feedback is vital to us in our bid to improve our service experience to all our guests. We hope for your kind understanding. Jessie The Scoot Team Leslie 21 Jul 17:39 Ive just been notified that wef 1st Sept 2014, Scoot will fly to Don Meung instead of Suvarnabhumi. While I understand there are business reasons to do so, the least you should have done is to notify the client at the time of booking. Ive made 2 bookings (ECFD3E & R48W3C) and the itinerary shows Suvarnabhumi as the airport. With this sudden and surprised change of airport now, I am not comfortable as Don Meung does not have fast track immigration services nor any priority lounges. As a frequent client of Scoot, I would like to request that Scoot does the honorable act of providing options for either a full refund or a change of destination without any change fees. This would go a long way to reinforce the message that Scoot does not practice the policy of well just shove this down your ass.
