for sale, 1967 vw bug sunroof. $13,500 located in Poteau, Ok. here is a very clean 1967 bug with factory sunroof. car is out of california, no rust anywhere!!! all factory sheetmetal except for the rear fenders which are 1.5 inch wider than stock and fiberglass. car is in excellent mechanical condition, runs great, all lights work (including dome light), sunroof works great, can can be driven anywhere at anytime! motor: 2332cc type 1 case is a fresh std/std as41 dual relief case 84mm okrasa crank cb performance H beam rods cb wedgeport heads 44x37.5 hand ported and polished engle 130 cam cb 1.3 ratio rockers and lightweight lifters dual springs chromoly pushrods full flowed, oil filter in driver side rear fender. external oil cooler above transaxle with electric fan Jaycee 51.5mm Weber IDA carbs (with 3rd progression hole) 1 5.8 ceramic coated header with stainless muffler csp breather tower all XRP braided lines from cb performance 1.5 quart deep sump compression is set at 9.5-1 so car runs great on 91 octane pump gas (this car was built to be driven!!) all motor parts were balanced. transaxle: rancho pro street with all the goodies. has berg track bar berg mid mount berg shifter. interior has stock front seats in great shape, NO back seat. full 6 point rollcage with 5 point harnesses. has full VDO gauges (oil press, temp, volt, fuel,) Autometer monster tach on dash. and yes that is a original Empi GT steering wheel!!! CB performance 2 inch narrowed front beam with drop spindles and disc brakes. new kyb gr2 shocks all the way around. car rides on BRM wheels (5.5 inch wide all the way around) with 145sr15s on the front and 215/65/15s on the back (a set of 26x6 M&H racemaster slicks can be included for the rear. paint is a good 10 footer. it was repainted several years ago and since this car is a driver, it has a few rock chips and imperfections. it presents well but is NOT a show quality paint job. this is one of the best vws ive owned. car runs great, can be driven anywhere, and is really mild mannered unless you stab the skinny pedal. ive only had the car at the track once, and it ran 7.70s in the 8th mile. cool thing is i drove the car to the track (45 miles away, ran the car, and drove it home!) this car was not built as a drag car, but built to drive and have power doing it. i have driven highways, in town, interstates, and it just purrs down the road.
