friend (frɛnd): — n 1. a person known well to another and regarded with liking, affection, and loyalty; an intimate 2. an acquaintance or associate 3. an ally in a fight or cause; supporter Many of us called the people we hang around friend, BUT, do we - or them - understands what it TRULY means to be a FRIEND? I was fortunate enough to see a friend who I rarely see or even talk to. This friend lives in another state, but, no matter the day, hour, or situation, shes ALWAYS just a call away! I have another friend who lives in another city of NC that I also rarely see or talk to, but, no matter the time or question, shes there as well. I pondered this idea of friendship as I traveled back from South Carolina (my daughter and I drove my dad from to SC and back with watermelons hes selling). Just as we reached SC, I had my daughter contact my friend, Tanya Harris to let her know that we were in her state (shes originally from Winston but serves is a Lieutenant in the Army). My friend asked where we were located and lo-and-behold, who shows up: Tanya! She hung out with us for a while as we perused the fruits and vegetables, and just as she normally does, invited us out to lunch. I must say that Tanya has ALWAYS been a TRUE friend! I can talk to her about ANYthing and shes always looking out for me - and others. I just want to THANK her for being my friend/family even those shes miles away! AND...to my friend, Latrice MrsTradernomics Muhammad, it can be weeks or months - even years - but, I KNOW that youre there for me when I need you! No matter the circumstance(s), you never leave me to handle things alone...I just want to THANK you for being a TRUE and RELIABLE friend! Now, with this said, never hesitate to call on me when you need me...Im here for you TOO! :)
