from JWGs DONE AND NOT BEGUN Southwest Airlines Flight #1825 June 3, 2011 8:40 a.m. EDT Having lifted off from Baltimore, René and I commented on how we do feel that there is an adventure ahead of us. This excitement matches our trip to The Canary Islands — or, any trip, to be precise. Looking out this plane’s window at a Betsey Garand Print; lots of dots of houses swirling beside a great river. The higher we go, the thrill extends expectations. Expectations of exploring and greeting new locations with eyes wide open and minds emptied of all concerns. Last night’s video of a live performance was okay. I am glad I saw Brian Bedford’s production of Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest”. Since this flight is a titch bumpy, I will write more of my thoughts on this when, once again, I am on land. My feet, and hands, need to be secure. Looking out of the window, we are above the clouds which appear as a soft, white, cotton blanket. Southwest Airlines has been deemed as one of the top two Airlines in the States by a “public poll”. Whose poll? I don’t know. Thus far, we have nothing bad to say about this airline. The personnel are personable. We are now “cruising at thirty-eight-thousand feet above the Earth’s surface”. The cloud blanket is wearing thin and affords a glimpse of this planet. Having gotten home last night at eleven-thirty, and gotten out of bed at four-thirty, I wonder if I can close my eyes and ride the clouds in my dreams.
