from Margaret Cho on Arcade Fires We Exist video: Kathy Griffin and I sat next to Arcade Fire at the Grammys, and I was so bitter that neither of us had won in the comedy category that I didnt speak to them, but when they won, they were overjoyed and were hugging each other and crying and laughing and they were so beautiful and happy it made my suffering at losing much more bearable. I wish i had congratulated them then, but my own selfishness and anger won out that night. however - I applaud them now, up on my feet, tears in my eyes, gratitude in my heart, because i believe this song and this video (especially this video) will save lives. A band can save the world - and that band is Arcade Fire.
