from Michaela ~ The people of the Philippines need our ongoing love and prayers as the worst of the storm has passed and they begin to assess what has happened to their loved ones, their homes, their neighborhoods. It is currently reported that at least 21 people have died and more than a million others have been forced into shelters after Typhoon Hagupit hit the central Philippines this weekend. The blessings is that the storm has spared the region the devastation of last years Typhoon Haiyan. This is a blessing, yet the people are deeply suffering. Both from the physical reality of needing to once again rebuild their lives and from the emotional trauma of living through another possible devastating storm. Please join me in holding all who are suffering in our hearts and prayers. May they feel our love and prayers. May this offer them some solace and comfort in this time.
