from Paul Chapman Why is “NAIDOC” week-? Celebrated after our “NEW YEARS” – The “SHORTEST DAY” of the year- Can someone out there please bring this awareness to the organisers of “NAIDOC”-? As the Winter Solstice is the most appropriate time to celebrate renewal- Of our beautiful culture- My response, Its a bit like all those advertisements for eating Lamb for Australia/Invasion Day, like what could be more Aussie than to celebrate eating the sheep that destroyed the Murnong Crops, but since NAIDOC is supposed to be a celebration of Original Culture and achievement, why indeed?
