from Sammys wife, Jennifer: The past 24 hours have been a painful lesson in patience! This morning Ill still be working on getting Sammy to wake up. I was up around 5 & went to spend some alone time with him. He is opening his eyes every once in a while...and this morning he was moving his tongue & jaw. He should get more & more active as the day progresses. So, please continue to pray that he will wake up. Specifically, he needs to follow a command (Look at me, or Squeeze my hand, etc...). Please also pray for his heart. He can only stay on his bypass support for 4 or 5 more days...maybe a week, and then hes got to come off. At that time, hes got to either have a Dick Cheney mechanical heart pump put in, or his hearts gotta be strong enough to survive on its own. I have been in the room for several ultrasounds & the doctors are always pleasantly surprised at the healing taking place...but there is still a long way to go and they are still not very optimistic. I believe that God is healing His heart, but we do need a miracle to avoid the mechanical heart and/or future heart transplant. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, for your continuing prayers & love. Please know that your support is giving me unexplainable strength & peace. Our God is good & the Miller family is resting safely in that Goodness.
