from my Pop: “Dunsel”, a naval term applied to machinery that has no use. When it is applied to a Captain, or a group, it means that the person or group no longer has a useful purpose. Applying this to the body politic one might discuss the possibility that the congress has maneuvered Themselves into being Captain Dunsel. Congress permitted egregious decisions by the courts to stand. They shifted responsibility of regulation from congress to bureaucracies. Congress permitted the use of Executive orders to get around congress. Is there doubt that our congress can truly be said to be a group without any useful purpose? When a president is not challenged for re-writing laws that he has signed into law by congress: When the Supreme Court contradicts the constitution there is room for congress to exercise its authority and not sit back and permit nine flawed jurors to rewrite the constitution: When Eric Holder would not prosecute the young black men harassing a voting precinct, refusing to name a special prosecutor in the IRS scandal, Refusing to cooperate with congress his impeachment should have begun in the House of Representatives and affirmed or denied by the senate. I understand that a blatantly immoral Senate and House of Representatives, on both sides of the aisle would neither impeach or convict any of the above persons. Integrity is not rampant in the halls of congress, the judicial system or the presidency. Jim Murphy Lives in Napa
