from my cousin...I first heard of this movie Unbroken today while overhearing part of Greg Lauries radio program featuring Randy Alcorn. They promoted this book Unbroken a Bestseller by Laura Hillenbrand. The life story of WWII War Army Air Corps Hero Louis Zamperini now 97yrs of age, who was flying on a search and rescue mission during WWII when they were shot down over the ocean. (See movie trailer below) What Angelina Jolie (Movie Producer) DIDNT include as she produced this movie, is that Louis Zamperini gave his life to Christ and forgave all of his captors who treated him so cruelly and went on to dedicate himself to telling his story. (still living) According to Greg Laurie, Laura Hillenbrand nailed Louis Zamperinis conversion to Christianity at the end of the book. She gets this story down, she gets detail, she gets really inside of the mind of Louis. A world War II story of survival, resilience and redemption. If he can forgive his captors after all he witnessed, suffered and endured; surely, we too as the children of God can forgive those who offend us for any reason. It is Christs way after all. Without forgiveness, God cannot forgive us.
