Remember, a choke hold had been banned by the NYPD as a physical restraint technique before this happened. What is a police officers use of a banned technique, then? An accident? And why not at least bring neg homicide charges and let this case be tried by a jury? Oh right...because trials cost $$$ and prosecutors and cops go together like peanut butter and jelly. I hope the Garner family brings a huge civil suit against everyone they can in this latest miscarriage of basic, basic justice. As another video of this incident shows (from inside the beauty salon), the cold indifference shown to Mr. Garners medical state after he passes out (or dies?? its unclear from video) is just stunning to behold.
