fter all that rest, my brain is finally functioning at a level where i can really say whats on my mind. These past few weeks has taken a tremendous toll on my physical and mental aspect of my being and what it boils down to is that ive come to a conclusion that the powers at be dont really give a S--- about anything around this here place we call home. A good example of that...is my uncles demise....This man ever so humble, was 83 years old and was a pillar of our family.....my cousins had to get a casket made for him by a very kind hearted man, (who doesnt even come from here)......so that the very least that he can be buried with dignity and the honor that he so well deserved. FYI my uncle Charlie was a very skilled carpenter and build many a home in Pukatawagan back in the 60s, 70s and 80s so that we children of that era could live comfortably. He was an elder and another when he died, yet another library is gone. Just because he chose to retire in Lynn Lake and become a Marcel Colomb member...he was by far a Mathias Colomb Band member for life, his wish was to be buried here in Puk and that was one request that no one, but him could deny. To bring him home in a paper box and deny him that honor is undignified. You people who make those decisions should think before acting, you need to reflect back and asks yourselfs.....when all our elders are gone, where will we be? because without them we are nothing. That generation will be wiped out and youll still be sitting on your high horse without a rein to guide you. Then what, i feel very sad.....and i can only hope and pray that we open our eyes and take a good look around us, or we will be very troubled. The community is very broken up and our children and grandkids suffer as a consequence. My thought for tonight.....take care, Love you all Like · · Share · about a minute ago ·
