fyi... Councilor Lourdes Candy D. Darimbang, chair of the City Council committee on tourism,will convene the committee next week to be apprised on the plans, programs and projects of the City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office relative to the tourism concerns in the city. Matters to be discussed include the request of the Cagayan de Oro Historical and Cultural Commission for assistance in correcting and amending several entries/sections of Ordinance No. 1237-2012, establishing the Cagayan de Oro City Museum which was enacted April 11, 2012. Also in its agenda is the application of the 1st Rafting Adventure for a franchise to operate in the city and position papers from the residents of Dr. A. Montalvan St. opposing the renaming/changing the current street name from Montalvan St. to Felix Manalo Street. The committee will also discuss the letter of Joseph Jatico, chair of Jatico Adventures regarding the profit sharing scheme between Barangay Bayanga, the city government and Jatico for the operation of the Oro Cave Operations (Cueva de Oro) located in Barangay Bayanga.
