gas only lasts around 35 days, it gets stale & orange in color & will start pulling in condensation & incorporate water & sludge inside the filter & the bottom plug pipe of the tank, check for rust color around the opening of the tank, if so, the gas has turned, you must drain all the gas out, & shake around some fresh gas inside & drain that all out, then add a bit of fuel stabilizer with a full tank of premium gas, always use high quality 2 stroke oils, & highest octane fuel possible is ideal for any small engine. green colored 2 stroke oils should never be used in a moped. that oil is marine oil & is designed for outboard & jet-ski 2 strokes. if you are not paying at least $7 to $10 on your quart of 2 stroke, you are not using the right oils for your bike at all. You engine works on compression & keeping the compression solid is why you must keep the cylinder well lubricated and also to make sure that you pin that feeds through your piston arm barring is smooth on the edge that floats against your piston clips, a ruff edged pin can ruin your engine by eating away at the clips and sending them in between the cylinder & piston thus ruining your compression & your engine. inflate moped tires to 36 psi for safety. you can always cut the pink wire to your CDI & move the fuel pin in your carburetor to the middle slot for more fuel flow in the carburetor , to have less restrictions in your bike & allow more voltage & gas, you will need to adjust the jet a bit and adjust the air jetting if it has one.
