gday all 1hdt owners! Alright, I’m hoping somebody else has had similar issues and worked out what it was. The old 1hdt has been an absolute power house up until recently with approx 160 rwhp with loads of acceleration and would rev out if needed. Of recent after having some work done on it, she hits 3000-3500rpm and no more, will not rev our beyond that. She is intercooled, running about 15psi, pump was rebuilt along with injectors about 50,000km ago. It also appears that there is a slight miss which seems to be air/fuel related down low and being more noticalbe in 1st, 2nd gears. Still making good power, but not like it was. Trying to problem shoot what could be the cause. The issue started after having one of the injector line fittings that screws into the pump replaced, after it cracked one morning on the way to work and was spewing diesel out everywhere. (cracked as a result of being over tightened it appears when the injectors lines were removed with new gaskets being fitted for rocker cover, exhaust gaskets etc.) Before commenting, read what I have done: Replaced main fuel filter Replaced air filter Replaced fuel hoses before fuel filter and after it with new hose clamps also. Ran injector cleaner/fuel additive twice now. The diesel mob that carried out the work on replacing the fitting into the pump are trying to tell me the pump has been rebuilt dodgy. (the other concern is they took 3 days to get the part and car back to me) I’m dubious if it is the cause as the overhaul was performed by a well-known diesel specialist in Victoria. The fact it was running spot on prior to this fitting being replaced is the annoying bit. Any ideas or point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
