Anyone who calls themselves an indie music enthusiast and has not yet listened to the Life’s Too Good album by The Sugarcubes should immediately remove their Doc Marten’s boot from their right foot and ask the next stranger they pass to shove it up their very own rectum. Are you crazy people? Out of your Vulcan minds? Such a unique piece of work it is. Such a unique band. A thawing ice cube of Icelandic cool straight from the glaciers of their arctic volcanic home. Global warming was never so hip as this. I’m thankful that she went out on her own to explore new territory through solo albums, but this album is still one of the highlights of her entire career, as well as one of the highlights of my journey thru fandom.
