generally doesnt get involved in the ongoing college football bowl game naming debate, wherein the corporate sponsors take equal or greater billing over the traditional bowl names, which were typically originally designed to promote some aspect of the host sites local agricultural products, history, or culture; hence, the Texas Alamo Bowl, Georgia Peach Bowl, Arizona Fiesta Bowl, etc. Craig Jackson takes particular exception to the Jacksonville, Florida game name, the TaxSlayer Bowl. Perhaps the name Gator Bowl IS a bit clichéd for Florida, though. Maybe a compromise? How bout if some local dermatologists sponsor the game, and they call it the Goiter Boil? I mean, it just kinda pops, doesnt it? Even if it doesnt stick out at first, it DOES kinda grow on you...and much of Jacksonville IS kinda gross and unsightly... ;)
