get all bundled up to take the kids into town and it starts snowing,,, so i walk outside to warm up the vehicle for the youngins while taking a pause for a moment to think how cold i would be standing outside if i didnt have these overalls and gloves to keep me warm... you see not everybody is as fortunate as you or I am... not everybody has shelter,,, food,,, clothing,,, and a family to huddle up with when times get rough... maybe you read this and maybe you stay cynical thinking there is nothing you can do to change the world around you or maybe you read this and you go into your closet and grab some old sweaters,,, coats,,, gloves,,, socks,,, blankets or even a thermos of hot chocolate and pass it on to someone in need... the truth is your simple gesture might be someones tipping point towards living again and isnt that the true mark of success... new phones,,, new jordans,,, and new hairdos just dont match up to making a real impact is someones life while also gaining a life long friend in the process gifts under a tree are nice and all but the gift of a 2nd chance at life is priceless... so in this season of giving what would happen if we taught our kids what it means to really give youtube/watch?v=lK1vPu6U2B0 you can look at the whole big picture and get overwhelmed by the need or you can make a difference to one deserving person at a time... have you ever been told thank you by someone who really means it (trust me it feels much better than you could ever imagine) weve been taught to think that everything is governments problem while we sit back and suck our thumbs... our pocket change can save lives if we put it to good use 1000:1 what could a group of 1000 do for just 1 person or family if they donated $50 a piece it just so happens i got 40 in my wallet and a 10 in my hand (999 more to go)
