good evening friends , I know I have not been around too much but I have been so busy with babies that I have little time for you lol . all our efforts are paying off a s we are releasing brids left right and centre , do you remember the barn owl with the broken wing ? he is doing so well and , dare I say may be able to be released ! im delighted , its been a slog for him but hopefully will pay off . we have had a huge array of birdies in , most notably our baby lapwings , we have 5 and they are doing very well , had them 2 weeks now so im hoping they are through the danger zone . little balckies , thrushes and starlings galore , 25 of which are ready for release , and a ridiculous amount of corvids , crows , magpies and jackdaws coming out of our ears lol . but all in an aviary now awaiting finer weather . of course woodpigeons and pigeons are always welcome guests to greenmount and again we are waiting for better weather to release them . x
