good to see gravity and captain phillips recently.... but movies like carrie and getaway were both disappointments. no question with the special effects as required in the telekinetic power of carrie that conveys rage which is effective in stirring ones sensibility but this remake, i would say, had distorted spirituality. getaway, on the other hand, is emphatic on the revving and speeding cars resulting to intense noise making up for the characters of ethan hawke and selena gomez that are weak and lack emotional depth. however, if you love action, this movie is for you. other movies that could pass up memory lane include kick ass 2 and red 2. better to watch the originals than their respective sequels :(
