got a call from Ronald Ramey of Lex Ky..There has been quite a bit of discussion about the pic of Shiloh Sammy George found by amy powers in the condederate archives at duke u....Sammy was killed at Shiloh at the age of 15.His twin brother Nathaniel was killed close to Creelsborough Ky by Union troops.the 1st pic is of the Creel House as it looks today. The Creel family owned Creelsborough the 2nd pic is of an abandoned house outside of Creelsborough---the third pic is of the old hotel, long since gone, the 4th pic is another Creel house close to Creelsborough---this place is really something--it is abandoned, but must have been something to behold in its day because it is something to behold today the last pic is of Samuel George.half of the George twins sometime before they enlisted in the confederate army,I think.I have got a gazillion pics of the old Creel Store where the shooting began. It is being restored by the Ky Historical Society.Ron,will be at the store tomorrow 6067235315,i figure you have lots of questions-----this is a great, long, civil war story that Jim S. never finished.I have some medicine bottles out of the old Creel drug store that still stands.will post a few pics of the creel store in restoration,as it was about 6 weeks ago.Jim and Walter researched the George Twins,Nettie Reece story for 8 years,I took over 2000 pics of the story sites for 3 years(wow, time flies)Jim was 92 when he died,he was the retired dean of education at Vanderbilt walter taught design engineering at Mich. St. U for several years,he was the designer of the ford falcon.he was 94 when he died in Michigan. The Filson article is coming around Jan 1.
