had loads of "fun" trimming our bathroom door bottom. First I tried with electric jig saw ,looked horrible. So I carried the door to our condo workshop , Then I took the blade I bought and transferred it from the table saw to an electric rotary saw ( "skill saw") . The I set up the door on its side on top of the table saw table, with the blade pulled in and under. And next I struggled with the best way to clamp the door to the table saw table. The clamps I brought with me were not long enough for the door and wooden pieces to protect the door,so it was quite an ordeal to get everything set up. Robert who donated the skill saw to the condo workshop was there and we conversed a little bit, and found out that the rectangular boxes being clamped there were as result of another fellow with a Filipino wife who makes speaker boxes.I was told he lives close to the main gate in one of the coach houses. The return spring for the blade cover on the skill saw was broken, spent some time trying to fix it.(waste of time) ,and once the door was all set up , it took just one cut lasting a minute or so to do the actual trimming. And then the clean up took some time also.On my way out of the work shop and carrying the door I met Jerry who came looking for me as this seemingly simple job had taken several hours. When I originally looked at the door now back in our condo I thought I had trimmed the wrong end. Fortunately I was wrong and the door now fits just fine with the bottom trimmed.
