hahahaha!! i finally stood up to these matatu drivers..jana evening i was driving along a very busy road in kisumu..apparently nowadays there are jams on kisumu roads in the evening...so this matatu that was outside the road forces itself infront of me and kidogo kidogo my front lights shatter as well as a scratch and a dent on the left front..so i stop and the matatu stops as well...the driver gets out with his conductor and start yelling ati "madam wewe ndio mwenye makosa..hebu songa nyuma ili tuangalie penye umetugongea...." i remembered my insurance policy paper is written" in the case of an accident, do not admit liability"....i refuse to move, switch off the engine and tell them i am the one on the right and he has crashed me..so tuite police.(considering i also happen to know quite a number of traffic policemen from the nearest police station...sasa scene imeshaanza kujaa na watu wa boda boda, pedestrians, and then the stupid driverv calls his fellow drivers to come ati and support him..they came drank and started yelling and saying the way i am on the wrong.i had called my insurance guys and my hubby as well so kidogo kidogo they also arrive..so we have created a further jam coz we have stopped in the middle of the road.....when the guys heard ati the police are on their way...si walishtuka!!let us just say my car is at the garage now and the fool has agreed to pay for the repairs. as we speak he is still calling me not to report anything to the police...my conclusion: either he does not have a a valid drivers license or he is a wanted criminal or i just challenged the male chauvinist driver type out of him.
