hallo everybody....right *deep breath* -2015 order book information. as you know my order books have been closed since january with a view to them reopening in September (which is now...how quickly did THAT happen?!). The thing is I am two months behind schedule, this is due to lots of things- commissions taking a lot longer than anticipated, working on Doodle Girl illustrations (which I am afraid HAS to take precedence) and school holidays (where I got literally next to no work done ) ...the horrible thing about being this far behind schedule is that it kind of fills my every waking thought and is making me a little worried and a lot miserable...of course I will catch up but that means solidly working on the commissions and I really feel that if I open my books for 2015 now and pile on 6/12 months more work I am likely to buckle . I dont want to buckle. You see, I love what I do and I have always vowed that if what I do makes me feel stressed or anxious then I would stop. But I dont want to stop , I want to carry on because I love it . You see my problematic vicious circle here ? So, I have decided, after much thought ,to only reopen my books on 31st January 2015 , this gives me time to clear all commissions for 2014 and time to sort my illustration work for 2015 too. So that is what is going to happen. My ORDER BOOKS WILL REOPEN 31ST JANUARY 2015 to take a very limited amount of commissions. The reason why I will take a very limited amount of commissions is not only so I can avoid falling behind schedule , and also concentrate on Doodle Girl, but also because I want to have time for MY work , carry on creating one off original pieces for prints and expand ranges into ceramics etc. This is ESSENTIAL if I am to continue loving what I do . The ordering process will be as before , first come first served via private message on this page and as I said there will be very limited spaces for doodle hearts and for illustration commissions.I realise that this may make some people who have been waiting a very long time for order books to open cross with me ...I only hope that everyone can understand...it was either this or completely stop taking commissions altogether and of course I dont want to stop because I love it . Have I said that before ? I am so grateful for your continued love and support
