harsh reality today. My kiithbrother and I text eachother several times a week. It has been more than a week since last I got a response text and that was garbled. Figuring that he had lost his phone and his little nephew had found it, I gave it a few days. Today, I called him. He is losing his fine motor skills. Sadly, that is one consequence of liver failure. Statistically, he has just about six months remaining to get a liver transplant. Getting a tissue match is going to be difficult ... he is type O-neg, and that is just one of the issues with finding a liver that is a match. Still hoping against hope that he feels strong enough to make the trip out here ... the place he considers his home ... before his body will no longer handle the stress of travel.
