has been given a task in one of my classes, which includes a service learning project, through Meals on Wheels. I am sending out a request to all my North Texas friends to help donate food to the not so fortunate, elderly citizens of McKinney, and surrounding areas. I have a donation box on my porch, at 1144 King George Lane, in Savannah. Please drop by and contribute to a great cause, as well as help your community. The list of items needed is: hand sanitizer, toilet paper, Kleenex, cereal bars, soap, peanut butter, Simply fruit jelly, peanut butter and cheese snack crackers, Quaker Instant Oatmeal, microwavable cheesy mac, pork and beans(pull top), canned veggies(pull top), Starkist Charlies Lunch Kit, canned white chix breast meat, and vienna sausages. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I am not required to stick to this list, but these are the things they requested that could come in really handy this holiday season. Other misc. items are stamps, large print puzzle books, envelopes, dried fruit, hard candy, assorted greeting cards, ballpoint pens, and notepads. This list was generated by the Collin county Committee on Aging. Thanks again for helping those in our area that are elderly, and economically challenged. The deadline for all donations is Oct. 2.
